Grafton Gardens Calendars - Winners Announced

The Grafton Garden Club conducted a photo contest, to create a Grafton Gardens Calendar for 2009. The results are in. With over 80 entries received and evaluated, the judges have picked the 12 lucky winners: January, Jennifer White;February, Renee DesRosiers; March, Joan Gage; April, Elizabeth Klisiewicz; May, Joan Avato; June, Deb Kuczka;July, Janice Smith; August, Ce Ce Fine; September, Brenda Marshall; October, Marie Berardi; November, Margo Yaylaian; and December, Noel Filers. Each of the 12 winners will receive a 2009 Grafton Gardens calendar. The calendars are standard wall size, saddle stitched (stapled in the middle). The price is $20 each or $30 with 2008-2009 membership in the Grafton Garden Club (a combined $40 total), and the proceeds from the calendar sale benefit the scholarship and grant fund. This money is used to support the local schools and students in the study of horticulture, plant and soil science, botany, and the environment. The Grafton Garden Club has awarded over $37,000 in scholarships and grants since 1961. The calendars will be on sale at Grafton Celebrates the Holidays, at Club meetings, or by mail. If you would like a calendar, please send a check for $20 (or $30 with membership) per calendar to the Grafton Garden Club, PO Box 453, Grafton, MA 01519.
