Grafton Community Day

The Grafton Garden Club is excited to embark on the third Annual Grafton Community Day. On Saturday, April 26, 2008, businesses, organizations, and residents will come together to beautify and clean-up Grafton. Grafton Community Day includes a community-led clean up of our public areas, tree, shrub, and flower plantings, distribution of seedling trees to the residents of Grafton, CRT/white metal collection, and a host of festivities on the Grafton Common. Once again, the Grafton Garden Club is asking for your help & we need you to join with us for the betterment of our community. Here are just a few ways you can help:

1. Help Organize the Effort
People are needed to organize and coordinate this town-wide effort. Grafton Community Day needs people to contact the sponsors and donors, coordinate the cleanup areas, determine the public area for renovation or make over, and to make arrangements for publicity both through the schools and throughout the town.

2. Form a Clean-Up Team
Family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, community groups, and many others can form a team. Each team sets out to clean-up and improve a designated public area. This is a great way to support Grafton, give our town a facelift, and have some fun. Everyone in Grafton, and those who travel through it, notice the effort we put forth for our community. If you are forming a team, please contact the Grafton Garden Club to register so there will be enough supplies on hand for everyone who wants to participate.

3. Help Sponsor the Day
While some can contribute their time and energy, others may wish to offer a financial contribution or a donation of goods and services. With an event of this magnitude comes cost. With the help of the fine businesses, organizations, and individuals of Grafton, Grafton Community Day can give back to the community. There are five levels of sponsorship: Orchid ($1000+), Rose ($500-$999), Lily ($300-$499), Violet ($100-$299), and Buttercup ($10-$99).
