Need a Different Gift for the Holidays - How about a Grafton Garden Club Membership

If you're looking for a different gift this Holiday season, think about giving a membership to The Grafton Garden Club. The Grafton Garden Club is a non-profit organization that has members from many area towns (and one from out of state). The Club provides scholarships and grants to area schools for the educational pursuit of horticulture. The Club is offering gift certificates for a year's membership for you to give in time for the Holidays. You can pick either the rest of the 2006-2007 year (now until the end of June, 2007) or a membership for the 2007-2008 year (July 1, 2007 to June 30, 2008). The Club has a number of workshops and programs still to come this year including the Holiday Party on Dec 12, 2006 at the Community Barn with a presentation of Bonsai Basics, a presentation in March with a question and answer session about Landscape Design, a meal in April at The Grafton Inn featuring a presentation from Peter Alden, a world-famous speaker talking about the Invasive Plant Crisis in our area. The Club is one of the driving forces behind Grafton Community Day in April and don't forget there is the Plant Sale and Raffle in May. The Club will be visiting the Mount Auburn Cemetery in June, and there is the members-only June Annual Meeting and Tea. A membership to the Grafton Garden Club includes discounts to our workshops and programs, priority when reservations are required, and an informative newsletter (with pictures) from the President of the Club. Also, the membership card can be used at Shrewsbury Nurseries for a discount throughout the year. Membership is $20 for either this year or next. To order, specify which year you want (2006 or 2007), your name, address and phone (in case there are any questions), where you want the gift certificate sent (your address or the recipient's name and address), and the message you want to include on the gift certificate. Send this information along with a check for $20 to Grafton Garden Club, P.O. Box 453, Grafton, MA 01519-0453.
