Time to Habitat: Transforming Your Lawn
Location: Grafton Public Library
Rita Zeffert, Vice President of The Grafton Garden Club is offering a free presentation entitled “Time to Habitat: Transforming Your Lawn” at the Grafton Public Library, 35 Grafton Common, Grafton Massachusetts on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 starting at 7pm. She will discuss how to transform your water-hog of a lawn that needs constant attention into a more hospitable habitat for birds, wildlife, pollinators, and in turn, humans. Transforming your lawn is a new perspective that is being adopted countrywide. Ms. Zeffert is a committed gardener who has recently instituted many of these concepts herself with the participation of her family and friends. She will be showing her before and after photos and a short video to show a flat, green space transform into a wild and gorgeous habitat. She’ll discuss how to start and how she transformed her yard into both a formal setting and a more relaxed one. After the presentation, she will be available to answer questions and provide some resources so you can get started on your own transformation. Refreshments will be provided.
