Welcome Back Meeting
Time/Place: 6:30 p.m. Community Harvest Barn
Event Description: Denise Worden of Sweet briar Florist & Perennials will conduct a "Herb Dish Garden Workshop"  using perennial herbs. She will also show how she incorporates herbs & honey from her bees to make soap. It includes all materials (dish, dirt, herbs) We're looking forward to a fun night of catching up with old friends and making new ones. Coffee and dessert will be served. Reservations & fee by September 7, 2005.
There is a fee of $18.00 members/$20.00 nonmembers. Reservation required.

October 11, 2005 

Organic Gardening
Time/Place: 7:00 p.m. St. Philips
Event Description: Don Post is making a return visit to talk to us about Organic Gardening. A question and answer session will follow his talk, so bring your gardening questions. Refreshments will be served.

November 15, 2005 

Wreath Decorating Workshop
Time/Place: 7:00 p.m. St. Philips
Event Description: Bring a wreath and decorations and we'll get together and create a wreath for Grafton Celebrates The Holidays or for your your own house. Dawn, winner of last year's display competition, will facilitate. Refreshments will be served.

Decorating the Willard House for the Holidays
Time/Place: 10:00 a.m. Willard House & Clock Museum
Event Description: This has been a rewarding project for the past several years. If you have the time, please join us for a morning of decorating and holiday music.

December 4, 2005 

Wreath Display at the Grafton Central Library
Event Description: Artificial wreaths made by Club members will be put on display at the Grafton Central Library. This project aligns with our local celebration "Grafton Celebrates the Holidays". While visiting the library during the event you will have a chance to vote for your favorite wreath.

December 13, 2005 

Holiday Party
Time/Place: 7:00 p.m. Willard House & Clock Museum
Event Description: Following the business meeting, take a guided tour of the museum galleries and view the lovely Holiday décor. This promises to be a fun-filled night; come enjoy a tour of the museum, visit with friends and participate in the ornament exchange. Bring a home-made ornament (perhaps with natural materials - cones, berries, seed pods...be creative). Please RSVP to Connie before December 1. Refreshments and dessert will be served.

February 7, 2006 

"Orchids Are Easy...Really"
Time/Place: 7:00 p.m. St. Philips
Event Description: As a prelude to the Orchid Show in Nashua, NH on 2/18 & 2/19, come hear PK Dulong speak about the cultural requirements of orchids including light, water, fertilizer, re-potting, and temperature requirements. Ms. Dulong will have miscellaneous orchid-related merchandise available.
Free for members $5 for non-members

March 11, 2006 

Silk Flower Arrangement
Time/Place: Rte. 9 Michael's
Event Description: Michael's is offering a special class for members and friends of the Grafton Garden Club. Come and learn how to make interesting arrangements with silk flowers. The instructor will discuss color, shape, and texture, all flower arranging aspects that translate over to fresh flower arranging. You can bring your own materials or purchase them at Michael's.

Transplanting Seedlings
Time/Place: Community Harvest Barn
Event Description: Join us as we return to the Community Harvest Barn for this informative and helpful program where we give the Harvest Farm a hand with their Spring planting. This is a great way to get involved in your local community, and it is our project for "Adopting a Farm".

Grafton Community Day
Time/Place: 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.Grafton Common
Event Description: Help clean up Grafton! This community-wide event hosted by the Grafton Garden Club is a great way to come together for the good of our community. bring your family and join the Garden Club and other local organizations as we Spring clean our town! The Mass Highway Department is donating yellow trash bags and the town of Grafton will pick up the bags later in the day. There will also be a CRT and white metal recycling drop off at the Grafton Recycling Center. Bag pick up is at the Common, then come back to get your free tree seedling and enjoy hot dogs and an ice cream social.

Annual Plant Sale & Raffle
Time/Place: 9:00 a.m. to noon (rain date, Sunday May 21, 2004 noon to 3 p.m.) Grafton Common
Event Description: The Grafton Garden Club Annual Plant Sale and Raffle is quickly becoming a favorite Grafton tradition. There are many plants to choose from, plus our famous raffle table! Our available scholarship and grant money derives directly from this, our only fundraiser of the year. All members are encouraged to attend and help out, either before the sale or on the day of the sale.

Annual Clean-up of the Municipal Center Garden and Butterfly Garden at the Barn
Time/Place: 7:00 p.m. Municipal Center and Harvest Barn
Event Description: This is a Civic Betterment project to maintain these gardens in the summer. Bring your tools and enthusiasm to help us beautify Grafton's public places.

June 13, 2006 

Annual Meeting and Tea for MEMBERS ONLY
Time/Place: 7:00 p.m. Community Harvest Barn
Event Description: Come enjoy tea and delicious edibles while we review the past 75 years activities. As we have done in the past several years, members will also donate gift bags of personal care items for residents of Abby's House in Worcester and there will be an plant exchange.
Reservations are required
for this yearly event.
